2015 is here, did you prepare? What core desired feelings are you cultivating to guide your year?
“What if your most desired feelings consciously informed how you plan your day, your year, your career… — your life?”
Why start a 30-day Juice Cleanse and lose 10 pounds to gain it all back (and more) by March 1st? Why kick start your fitness/wellness regime in January when you know you’ll fall off the yoga wagon by mid-year? And on…and on. We’re being bombarded by promotional deals right now to jump start, kick start, detox, “blah blah” your lifestyle in the new year. My yoga studio is packed to the gills! All of these resolutions are wonderful but short-lived.
Instead of setting New Year’s resolutions that can motivate you only for a short while, for 2014 I created my core desired feelings (CDF) statement -developed by Danielle LaPorte- as a long-term guiding principle. The Desire Map Day Planner was a critical 1st step. Using LaPorte’s guidelines, I created a statement to inform my daily decisions, push me into unfamiliar directions, stop procrastinating, and set real deadlines.
My 2014 CDF::: “I desire … a balanced life and business where I provide value to others, and a flexible lifestyle with adventure around every corner.”
I’m still working on a few of these. However, my path is clear.
I deeply desire the opportunity to share this practice with my friends and family! I’m still working on my 2015 CDF’s…let’s create them together.
Do you want to feel more aligned, e x p a n s i v e, in the flow, adventurous, passionate, lit up, creative, etc?
